Engine service upgrade and rebuild
Cylinder heads- basic valve job. Disassemble, clean and beadblast heads; inspect and measure springs. Install new valve guides with stem seals. Re-cut to 3 angle valve seat. Dress 45” on valve face. Black Diamond one piece stainless steel stellite tipped valves (I recommend replacing valves, if necessary, as a set-- If one is worn out-of-tolerance, then the others are usually pretty close).
Additional Engine Services: If your springs are fatigued and have lost lift, I can shim them to boost pressure; or, complete new spring kits are available R69S, R69, R68-- spring kit for two heads R50 through R60/2-- spring kit for two heads.
Note that late in 1966 BMW upgraded their valve stem type to a rotating design. All replacement valves are of this improved type and require the use of appropriate upper spring retainers and grooved keepers. We offer titanium retainers for their greater durability, strength and lightweight characteristics, along with offering steel keepers.
